Equity in Action: Proactive Support for Multilingual Learners Before Special Education Is Considered

In this session, participants will develop a deeper understanding of how to support multilingual learners before considering a referral for Special Education assessment. They will explore key foundational concepts and research essential to effectively serving multilingual students. Additionally, participants will be introduced to valuable tools and frameworks that are critical to a comprehensive and informed pre-referral process.

This session is appropriate for educators, administrators, and service providers of all levels of expertise.

District and site teams are highly encouraged to attend.
