Equity in Action for Dually Identified Multilingual Learners: From Linguistically Appropriate Goals to Reclassification and Appropriately Exiting from IEP Services

This session will provide practical tools for writing and monitoring linguistically appropriate IEP goals for dually identified Multilingual Learners, with a focus on using SMART goals and effective progress tracking. It will also support understanding of the reclassification process, including the use of language development data, domain exemptions, and appropriate documentation to support reclassification decisions.
