Curriculum Design and Lesson Planning for the Arts

This session will guide participants through building arts-based curricula using strategies like backward design and inclusive planning. Educators will develop lesson plans that align with educational standards and adapt to diverse learners’ needs. Collaboration, peer feedback, and alignment with learning objectives are key components of the workshop.

 

Each LBC workshop in the series is available for independent registration, but to receive the LBC Teaching Artist Certificate participants must attend all five workshops and practicum sessions. All assigned coursework, reflections, and participation in discussions must be completed

This is offering is Workshop 3 of the LBC Teaching Artist Certificate Program, in partnership with Creative Sonoma, is designed to equip aspiring and current teaching artists with the essential skills, strategies, and hands-on experience in arts education. Participants will engage in a series of workshops and a practicum that provides direct experience working alongside LBC’s professional Teaching Artists. Participants who complete the program in full are eligible for compensation or honorarium.
