Assessment and Reflection in Arts Education
This offering is being provided by Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.
Registration opens August 13, 2025.
This workshop focuses on assessing student progress in the arts through performance tasks, rubrics, and formative assessments. Participants will also explore reflective practices to improve their own teaching and give effective feedback. Through hands-on activities, educators will practice developing assessments and providing supportive, constructive critique.
Each LBC workshop in the series is available for independent registration, but to receive the LBC Teaching Artist Certificate participants must attend all five workshops and practicum sessions. All assigned coursework, reflections, and participation in discussions must be completed
This is offering is Workshop 5 of the LBC Teaching Artist Certificate Program, in partnership with Creative Sonoma, is designed to equip aspiring and current teaching artists with the essential skills, strategies, and hands-on experience in arts education. Participants will engage in a series of workshops and a practicum that provides direct experience working alongside LBC’s professional Teaching Artists. Participants who complete the program in full are eligible for compensation or honorarium.
