Workshop 3: Math and Music

Uncover the deep connections between mathematical reasoning and musical expression. In this rhythmic and engaging session, educators will explore how music can illuminate mathematical ideas such as fractions, ratios, patterns, and sequencing. With support from music specialists and integration experts, participants will experiment with classroom activities that make abstract math concepts concrete and memorable.
Experience how dance, theatre, visual art, and music can deepen students’ understanding of math. In this series of interactive workshops, educators will engage in creative strategies that connect core math concepts—like patterns, geometry, measurement, and ratios—with artistic practices. Leave with practical tools to support diverse learners through hands-on, integrated lessons that make math meaningful, memorable, and fun.
