Building Belonging: Welcoming Schools Virtual Series

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Welcoming Schools is the most comprehensive bias-based bullying prevention program in the nation to provide LGBTQ+ and gender inclusive professional development training, lesson plans, booklists and resources specifically designed for educators. SCOE is offering a series of Welcoming Schools virtual workshops for TK-8 educators in the North Bay/North Coast Region (Sonoma, Marin, Lake, Mendocino and Napa Counties). We will cover topics from Embracing All Families to Preventing Bias Based Bullying to Supporting Trans and Nonbinary Students in this series of six workshops. Participants will learn practical strategies and practice language they can implement the next day in their schools. Workshops are relevant for any school staff person, including classified and certificated staff.

Each virtual workshop is two hours 9:00AM-11:00AM. Participants can attend one or more than one session. Share the flyer with your network!
